how to create a database

add a new database

The first thing to do is to add a new database.​

You can create a new database by opening on the Site Structure on the left. Once there scroll down till you see "Database", then hover on it and click on the + sign next to it.

Once done select "New Collection", then choose a name for your database. In this example we will use "My Database" as name.

Once you choose the name, click on the  "Create Collection" button.

add fields to a database

Once the database "My Database" is created, we have to add their fields.

We do this by tapping on the + sign next to the "Title" field, then choose the name you want for your field. In this case we will call our new field "name" and leave its type as Text. 

Once done click on the blue button "Add".

Your new "Name" field has been created now.

sync the database to live

Once you added the fields you want, its time now to add the info for each cell, then when all the infos are captured you can finally sync the database to Live.

This passage is required to see your content LIVE, if you miss this the database's infos will reman inside the sandbox and useres won't see them on your live website.


Remember to Publish your site in order to sync your collection to live.
